R5950: Geology of Oil in Splash Fall 2017 (Nov. 11 - 12, 2017)
An introduction to the geology of the rocks that produce oil and how we find them. This class will cover the basics of sedimentology, petroleum systems geology, and seismic petroleum exploration.

R5497: Geology of Oil in Splash Spring 2017 (Apr. 22 - 23, 2017)
An introduction to the geology of the rocks that produce oil and how we find them. This class will cover the basics of sedimentology, petroleum systems geology, and seismic petroleum exploration. Although not required, we recommend that students taking this class also consider taking "All About Oil," which will provide a more technical coverage of the chemistry of petroleum systems, the carbon cycle and production engineering.

R5383: How the southern end of the world was built: Geology of Patagonia in Splash Fall 2016 (Dec. 03 - 04, 2016)
Explore the 150 million year history of geologic processes that created some of the world's most stunning scenery. This course will use interactive demos and real world examples to introduce plate tectonics, sedimentology, structural geology and glacial geomorphology.
