E4331: Water for the World in Splash Spring 2015 (Apr. 11 - 12, 2015)
Water is essential to life. But over 700 million people do not have access to clean water that is safe to drink. Most are living in low-income countries. Come learn about technologies for treating water, and engage in a hands-on activity to design, build and test your own water treatment technology.

E3503: Engineering clean water- figuring out filtration in Splash! Spring 2014 (Apr. 12 - 13, 2014)
We will be teaching about water contamination and processes that are used to treat water to make it safe for drinking. The activity will allow students to design filters to clean water that is visibly dirty (i.e. turbid). We will split the students into groups of 3-4, and they will have the opportunity to make filters out of different materials to clean the water.
