Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a postdoctoral research scholar in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in Stanford University. I graduated with PhD in Biomedical Science in National University of Singapore in 2007. My research focuses mainly on differentiating pluripotent stem cells into endothelial cells, the cells that line the blood vessels with the aim of moving this into the clinic where such cell therapy can be used to treat patients with peripheral arterial diseases or cardiovascular diseases. I spend my leisure time going for hikes, making various kinds of paper crafts and learning the arabic language.
