Brief Biographical Sketch:

Harika Kottakota (’20) is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with minors in Human Rights and African Studies. Harika currently serves as the Undergraduate Coordinator for the Human Rights in Trauma Mental Health Program (HRTMHP), an inter-disciplinary group affiliated with Stanford Psychiatry, Stanford Handa Center, and Stanford Law School to help survivors of human rights abuses access mental healthcare reparations around the world (including in the USA, Kenya, and Uganda) through international legal systems. Harika is committed to using her role on the Global Health Student Council and as a course assistant for MED 242: Physicians and Human Rights (Winter Quarter 2020) to help expand accessibility and community around global health and human rights for Stanford undergraduates. A published poet (in-print and online), Harika is also an affiliated member of the Pegasus Physicians Writers Group at Stanford Medical School.
