What will the world look like 10 years from now, 100 years from now, 1000 years from now? We will look at predictions made in the past by scientists, science-fiction authors and movie directors. Which predictions have come true? Which ones are most likely to come true in our lifetimes? Finally, we will look at emerging technologies in computing, medicine, energy and warfare. The class will finish with the students coming up with predictions of their own.
